Shaun Wilson

  • Shaun is a seasoned ICT executive with over 20 years’ experience working in the technology industry with a focus on innovation. Shaun’s success has been achieved by building and motivating teams from data and analytics to platform design, systems architecture, and product engineering.
  • He has previously worked for Acer Africa, Izodia, the British Council and Thera Health. He co-founded Free Minded Media – a company which specialized in creating innovative mobile and social solutions for companies and worked with brands such as Barloworld, Coca-Cola, DGB, Edcon, Postnet, SAB, Spar and Shoprite.
  • He also founded Awaken VR formerly SDK Africa – a company that became a pioneer in Augmented and Virtual Reality applications and was the first company in Africa to launch AR on live TV with Big Brother and the first to do a live stream in VR with Supersport.
  • Shaun is a former Survivor contestant, the winner of the Technology Top 100 as well as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.
